THE EVENING POST

Every clue leaves a trace.

    RELEASED CARDS

Each suit has three 1s, two each of 2, 3, 4, and one 5. Released cards and failed plays stay here.

Lumi plays only when every possibility fits. Otherwise, Lumi gives useful explicit clues or releases the oldest least-clued card. No secret conventions. Undo is available for learning.

LET’S MAKE AN EVENING OF IT

    Clues are your shared language.

Your cards face away from you. You can see Lumi’s cards, but Lumi cannot see them. Together, build five suits from 1 to 5 for a maximum of 25 points.

    1. Give a clue: pick a suit or rank below Lumi’s hand. It marks all matching cards and rules that value out on every other card. Costs one of eight shared clues. Empty clues are forbidden.
    2. Play: select one of your cards, then Light. It succeeds only if it is the next rank for its suit. A wrong play loses a spark; three lost sparks end the game with zero points.
    3. Release: discard a card to restore one clue. You cannot release when all eight clues are available. Played/released cards are replaced while the deck lasts. Completing a suit restores one clue.

After the last draw, each player gets one final turn. The deck counter then shows turns left. A perfect 25 ends immediately.

First evening begins with a fixed, legal opening: Lumi has already marked your 1s as a free teaching aid. Fresh and daily evenings have no opening clues. The daily seed uses today’s UTC date.

Click a card or use 1–5; P plays, D releases, U undoes a decision and Lumi’s reply. “Read my clues” reasons only from information you can see. Suit symbols and names accompany every color. Your deal and best score save locally when storage is available.
